Happy Earth Day!
We are enjoying our free cup of coffee at the local Starbucks in Hutchinson, KS. Last day in the land of OZ.

When was the last time you were in a movie theatre by yourself? Isabella and I are seeing Tron tonight and we have the whole place to ourselves. It feels kinda weird. Like everyone else knows something and we are missing it. Hmmm. You never go out in public and end up by yourself anymore. Vegas is a city with two million people! I'm gonna put my feet up and enjoy it like I'm in the old movie theatre at my parents.

Affirmations for 2011

Getting to bed early makes me rested the next day.

Vitamins keep me strong and healthy.

I haven't blogged in almost a year! Maybe this is the new way for me to remember my ideas and get them on the blog. I don't want this to be an annoying account of my everyday events like twitter.

Disney Give a Day, Get a Day

Isabella and I volunteered last Saturday down at UNLV to help make cards for children in local hospitals. The woman working the event took some pictures and posted them to her blog. So, I thought I should share them on my blog. Which I know I haven't written on in months. I think a blog is suppose to be more than a quarterly thing. Oh well. It will be a great way to keep people posted when I have more going on some day. The Disney Give a Day program has made lots of people get out and volunteer. It was a small room with a big crowd of people. We ended up working for a little over an hour punching out die-cuts of butterflies. Just a few days ago I printed out our tickets to Disney. It's a pretty cool deal if you plan on going to the parks this year. Isabella and I can use the passes to go an extra day maybe when we go on our annual trip this summer. Should be fun!

Halloooween

This year we went trunk or treating at a local church. Our friends the Reinhards have two cute girls, Rachael and Danielle. Rachael dressed up as Kung Fu Panda. Danielle dressed up as Super Girl. Isabella was a great Marilyn Monroe. It was lots of fun to hang out with them and watch the kids play with Casey. He was so excited at all the attention and activity going on around him. He got to eat up all the spilt popcorn. Here are some pics of the girls, Casey, and our trunk with treats.

Get Your Kicks!

Today was pretty uneventful. I had lots of five-year-olds dressed up to the nines. They can't remember A-B-C, but they sure know who Tinker Bell is and Batman. It was fun though! They are so darn cute in their costumes. I started my day with Mr. H. It was another dose of crazy. He complained about the whole gammet: me, the office staff, and everything in between. It's all good. I just keep my cool and know that it will pass. I do enjoy a good laugh after and move on with my day. Luckily my lunch crowd is fun to vent with and more fun to laugh with each day.

After my busy day and picking up Marilyn Monroe (Isabella) from school, I came home and washed my hands like I normally do every day. As I was washing my hands with the bar of soap, it slipped out of my hands and right into the toilet. This made me chuckle.
