My Monthly Blog

I really do suck at this blog writing thing. I am just so darn busy that it's the last thing on my mind. I did think of it the other day and thought maybe I could post all the rediculous antics of my day in kindergarten. So here we go- let me know what you think.

Last week I had a kid glue his shoe to his paper... and his foot was still in the shoe.
I think he used the whole brand new glue stick. This week his step brother who is also in my class, decided to write all over the carpet with a blue crayon.
There is always something to keep me on my toes.

Does shoe rhyme with bun?, maybe tug? how about hut? I tried to think of some reason for this. I'm grasping at straws here people.

Volleyball Season Has Begun

Isabella played her first game as a seventh grader. She served with lots of strength and made it over. Here are some pics from the new iphone.

Time with My Gram

The most special time was with my Gram this summer. She was so happy to have us visit her and just go around the town. We kept her busy the whole week. She is turning 80 this September, but still gets around great. We stayed up late watching QVC, played ten dice, shopped for purses, and ate at some new places in Hutch. We visited the salt mines 600 feet below the earth, studied space at the Cosmosphere, visited family in Abilene, and just relaxed. I appreciate Kansas and being there now at this point in my life. I'm sure Isabella thinks like I did when I was young: that all that's in Kansas is old people. Maybe this latest trip showed her a new side of KS as well. P.S. The Twister poster and "Dorothy" are part of the movie collection stored underground in the salt mines. I love that movie!

The Big O

All I can say is I'm making a list of Pros and Cons for moving. It was a great weekend in Ohio. I love the scenary, the weather, the people, and I love the thought of a simplier life. I will work it out in my mind and come to a conclusion. Here are some pictures of the farm where Shane lives and is growing tomatoes. The fair pictures are from the Canfield Fair.

One more thing and a few more pictures

The thrill of my Disney vacation was getting to use the Dyson Airblade. It's this really cool hand drier that you put your hands through slowly and they come out completely dry. It was really cool to finally get to see and use one. Disney has three sets of them. Two on Tom Sawyers Island and one in the California Adventure bathrooms that have been moved due to construction. I suggest you try em out. Let me know what you think. I know I'm crazy.

Another Year Down!!!

Today was my last day of teaching for the 2009-2010 school year. We finished with students yesterday and today was moving and packing the school. Most of the school had to be packed and ready to go by 3:30 today. It is a big relief to have the whole summer off to relax and get some things organized in my life.

We have been so busy that I didn't post one time in May. Here are some pictures of the cakes Izzy made in her class the last few Saturdays. We both had a lot of fun!

The picture of Izzy in our backyard was taken this evening. She went to her first middle school party with boys and girls. It was a surprise party for one of Izzy's friends. The theme was 80's!

TGIF

Yeah!!! I am so happy it's Friday and the start of Spring Break! When your a teacher you still look forward to all those great school holidays. I packed up my room today and the mover guys came at 3:30 and started moving everything back into my refurbished room. It is going to be so nice to have a new room! They gave us new sinks, cabinets, carpet, and paint. It looks really nice and clean. I am going to spend some time there over the next week. I should have lots of fun posts the next week. We are going to some fun outdoor events this week. The weather here has been hit and miss. Today started off really nice and then the wind got crazy strong and it even rained a little.

I am feeling good about my eating and workouts so far. I just finished my P90X for the day. I am totally excited to use my new pull-up bar. I lent the Cd's to Mr. Bare our P.E. teacher and today he gave me a pull-up bar as a thank you from him and his girlfriend. They are so excited to get the Cd's and get started with the program. So, that was a nice surprise today! I already tried it and I wimped out after six. That was six with my one foot on a chair. Pull-ups are extremely hard for girls! Well, I'm off to finish my workout with some cardio. I am very energized at the moment despite a long week of packing. I think it made a difference that I didn't move anything this time.
Love, Peace, and Hair Grease,
